Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Project Manager. This position is located in Huntsville, AL. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Responsibilities:
Serve as liaison among project management, line management, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of program objectives.
Develop, maintain, and monitor integrated program schedules, budgets, and risk registers; produce regular status reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
Support the creation and execution of Program Definition Documents, Strategic Rhythm, and Integrated Baselines.
Manage Earned Value Management processes, acting as Control Account Manager to track cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
Facilitate program reviews, briefings, and presentations to senior leadership and customers, ensuring clear communication of status and issues.
Identify, assess, and resolve program issues and risks, implementing corrective actions to meet quality, productivity, and customer-satisfaction goals.
Support requirements management and ensure traceability across the Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction phases.
Coordinate staffing integration, resource allocation, and support for multi-team environments to optimize performance.
Develop and maintain program dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau) to provide actionable insight.
Support proposal development, opportunity identification, and customer-engagement activities throughout the lifecycle.
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 5 years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience, OR a PhD and 1 years of relevant experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Experience with project-management principles and execution of large, complex programs.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and engaging with senior customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
PMP certification.
Experience with Earned Value Management and serving as a Control Account Manager.
Experience with Agile Project Management and schedule/risk-performance management.
Proficiency in data-analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and development of program dashboards/metrics.
Skills Required
