Job Description:
The IT Engineering Operations (EngOps) Principal Project Management - IT Systems (Program Manager) is responsible for the planning, execution, and operational success of engineering and infrastructure initiatives, ensuring projects align with IT’s strategy, vision, standards, and governance. This position reports to the Manager of the IT Infrastructure Project Management Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Engineering and Design leaders to define program scope, success metrics, milestones, dependencies, and risks, while ensuring alignment to IT strategy, infrastructure standards, and architectural direction.
- Lead cross-functional execution rituals (kickoffs, weekly status, governance reviews, retrospectives) and maintain clear program artifacts (roadmaps, RAID logs, decision logs, action trackers, and communications)
- Drive intake, prioritization, and capacity planning for IT-supported engineering/design initiatives; clarify requirements, acceptance criteria, and service-level expectations.
- Coordinate across IT infrastructure domains (network, compute, storage, identity, endpoints, collaboration, and cloud) to plan delivery, manage dependencies, and ensure operational readiness.
- Track progress across multiple workstreams; surface tradeoffs and drive timely decisions using data, dashboards, and concise written and verbal communication.
- Identify and mitigate risks and blockers proactively; manage changes, escalations, and stakeholder expectations with recommended options and impacts.
- Promote security, compliance, reliability, and supportability in partnership with InfoSec and IT Operations; incorporate lessons learned and continuous improvement into future delivery.
- Be a team player and assist where needed to unblock teams and improve outcomes
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT program/project management, engineering operations, or technical project management supporting engineering and/or design organizations.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required; Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong technical fluency across IT infrastructure and core engineering/design workflows; ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to align engineering and design projects to IT strategy, architectural direction, and measurable outcomes.
- Expertise in building scalable execution processes (intake, planning, tracking, change control, and retrospectives) and using data to improve delivery.
- Ability to identify complex problems, synthesize inputs, and communicate clearly to the intended audience.
- Proven ability to drive collaboration, lead, and influence multiple teams at different levels to deliver results
