Within SCHIE, Cloud Hardware Systems Engineering (CHSE) supports the engineering and delivery of cloud hardware with a focus on quality, scale, and predictable execution.

We are seeking a Principal Program Manager, Taiwan Lab & Partner Engineering, to lead early-stage design and engineering collaboration with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) and Contract Manufacturers (CMs). This senior individual contributor will align Taiwan lab readiness, resource priorities, and partner commitments with program needs. Bridging Taiwan, US, and global labs, you will enable two-way sharing of expertise, best practices, and capabilities, reduce cross-region friction, and improve engineering efficiency, quality, and delivery predictability.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Taiwan-based early-stage design and engineering programs with ODM/CM and Microsoft engineering partners, translating program priorities into aligned outcomes and effective local execution.
  • Align Taiwan lab support, readiness, and resource priorities with engineering demand. Influence capacity and capability decisions to improve program efficiency while balancing competing needs.
  • Establish joint delivery accountability with ODM/CM engineering partners, aligning commitments, dependencies, and expectations to improve quality and delivery predictability.

  • Lead cross-organizational resolution of program risks, dependencies, and decisions in partnership with existing engineering and operational owners. Clarify tradeoffs and drive issues to closure without duplicating technical ownership.
  • Use program evidence and partner feedback to identify improvements in local engineering execution and lab collaboration. Scale practices that strengthen readiness, quality, resource effectiveness, and business outcomes.
  • Communicate program health, priorities, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders. Build alignment on decisions and resource tradeoffs across Taiwan partners and global engineering leadership.
  • Shape Taiwan lab and engineering partner collaboration strategy with engineering, sourcing, and operations leaders. Align partner capabilities with evolving program needs while respecting established commercial and operational ownership.
