We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal Program Cost Control Analyst based out of San Diego, CA. This is an onsite position that offers the 9/80 schedule.
What You’ll get to Do:
The Principal Program Cost Control Analyst (PCA) will support the InSight Product Line Management (PLM) team within the Navigation, Intelligence and Connectivity Division (NIC) under the Mission Systems Sector. This role will include involvement in projects such as Independent Research and Development (IRAD) and Capital Projects as well as direct Contract work across multiple Operating Units within the NIC Division. This role will report directly to the InSight PLM Business Manager.
The PCA will interface with the InSight PLM Program Director, Strategy & Capture Managers, Engineering Managers and Business Managers to provide financial support and analysis to meet Product Line requirements. They will track financial forecasts across annual operating plans (AOP) and long-range strategic plans (LRSP) including major Keyline metrics, such as Awards, Sales, Operating Margin and Cash. This will require familiarity of Financial Planning (Cognos) and related financial forecasting tools and concepts.
The PCA will also support IRAD, Capital and Non-Contractual Technical Activity (NCTA) budget development and tracking on a biweekly or monthly basis.
The PCA will support audits, proposals and reviews as requested by programs, customers, and company management and prepare financial inputs to internal reports and presentations (IPRS, Dashboards, BARs, Etc.).
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 3 years of related professional experience
Will consider 9 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement
Experience with financial systems including cost performance reporting and analysis
Experience with COGNOS, SAP
Experience with financial forecasting
Strong PC skills - specifically Excel proficiency (including pivot tables, Vlookup, and conditional formatting)
Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or related field
Experience with ERP2
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance measurement baseline concepts and ability to apply them to multiple contracts, CLINs and control accounts.

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
