As a Principal Product Owner on a 12 month fixed term contract, you'll be a pivotal leader in our product transformation efforts, specifically driving the evolution of our product suite to cloud-native solutions. This lead function means you'll own the overall market and customer understanding for your product and product lines, articulating a clear product vision that aligns with our strategic goals.
You'll also manage a small team of Product Owners and analysts (3).
What you'll do
Lead the strategic evolution and enhancement of existing products onto cloud-native platforms.
Own overall market & customer understanding for product development, identifying opportunities through segmentation and competitive analysis.
Lead the definition and prioritisation of strategic partnerships, advising on build, buy, or partner approaches for future capabilities.
Create compelling business cases for product innovation and define the product roadmap.
Drive cross-functional activities related to positioning, pricing, and promotion for new and enhanced products.
Lead the definition of product requirements and manage market feedback to refine product direction.
Manage product performance to achieve revenue and margin objectives for both current and next-generation products.
What you'll need
7-10 years of product management experience in a product-led organisation, with a focus on Technology, Financial Services, or Data & Analytics.
Proven product delivery and execution skills, particularly with product transformation or complex development initiatives.
Fundamental experience writing detailed product requirements and understanding of commercial models.
Demonstrated ability to lead efforts in a highly matrixed environment and collaborate with engineering teams.
Experience in product tools like Aha, JIRA, and Figma.
Strong data-driven decision-making and sophisticated critical thinking skills.
Deep industry and competitive knowledge to recommend best practices and innovations.
