The Basics:

The Principal Product Marketing Manager will own packaging & positioning for Vumedi’s commercial products, which are sold to pharmaceutical and medical device companies. This role will be primarily responsible for advertising and sponsorship solutions, and will provide critical inputs to influence their pricing. The ideal candidate has worked in a complex vertical and/or sales cycle and has a proven track record taking a company from one to many products or solutions targeting multiple customer segments.

What you’ll do:

  • Solutions and Product Packaging
    • Lead the development and packaging of advertising and sponsorship products, ensuring they meet market needs and are positioned for success.
    • Leverage segmentation across the pharmaceutical product lifecycle to ensure our products solve key problems and our sales content speaks to critical results.
    • Codify and simplify packaging to set up Vumedi for scale as the company grows its sales and customer success teams.
  • Positioning and Pricing
    • Strategically position our solutions in the market and develop competitive pricing strategies to maximize revenue and market share.
  • Market Intelligence
    • Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market needs, using insights to inform product marketing strategies.
    • Define tailored solutions strategies for different customer personas as Vumedi expands to all of medicine.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with solutions, customer success, product marketing and product management to drive commercial packaging and messaging.  
    • Ensure alignment of go-to-market strategies to stakeholder goals.
  • Customer Insights
    • Review existing programs to identify current strengths and areas for opportunity.
    • Identify and scale insights that differentiate Vumedi in-market and facilitate deep partnership with our customers.
    • Engage with customers and leverage feedback to refine Vumedi’s packaging and messaging approach.
    • Leverage customer feedback to influence Vumedi’s product marketing roadmap.
  • Brand Champion
    • Ensure that all packaging aligns with the company's brand and messaging guidelines.
    • Act as the internal expert for Vumedi’s commercial solutions, becoming the ‘voice of the customer’ within Vumedi.
  • Performance Metrics
    • Develop and measure adoption and revenue growth for Vumedi’s solutions across multiple customer segments.
  • Product Materials
    • Build out and maintain the internal and external materials and process documents related to the solutions that you oversee.

Whom we’re looking for:

  • 4-7 years of experience in product marketing or equivalent, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record of defining market positioning, go-to-market messaging and launch plans influenced by market trends, customer feedback, and competitive differentiation.
  • A working understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in marketing digital advertising and sponsorship products, ideally those targeting HCPs.
  • Expertise in crafting slides and stories to position digital products to clients, and experience driving how they are packaged, positioned and sold.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Effective management of simultaneous, competing projects and priorities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and confidence managing relationships to drive collaboration.
  • Able to demonstrate innovation, successfully tackling challenges in new and creative ways in often-stressful, deadline-intensive environments.
  • Expertise in Google Suite, familiarity with program management tools like Jira.
