We are seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial, and execution-focused Principal/Director Product Manager, Services to identify, validate, launch, and scale innovative healthcare workforce solutions that combine technology, operational services, and industry expertise.


As a director-level individual contributor, this role operates at the intersection of product management, business strategy, operations, customer experience, and innovation. The role will lead the development of new offerings from concept through commercialization, partnering across Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Executive Leadership to deliver scalable solutions that address critical workforce challenges faced by healthcare organizations.


This role is ideal for a builder who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys creating new businesses and offerings from the ground up, and can bridge customer needs, operational realities, and technology capabilities to drive meaningful growth.


Responsibilities:


Innovation & New Venture Development

  • Identify emerging customer needs, market opportunities, and strategic growth areas aligned with company objectives.
  • Lead customer discovery, concept validation, pilot programs, and market testing efforts to assess market fit and business viability.
  • Develop business cases, investment recommendations, and commercialization strategies for new offerings.
  • Evaluate and prioritize opportunities across healthcare workforce services, technology-enabled solutions, and adjacent markets.
  • Partner with executive leadership to shape innovation priorities and growth investments.
  • Drive initiatives from idea through launch, adoption, and scale.

Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Define product vision, value propositions, roadmaps, and success metrics for new offerings.
  • Establish pricing, packaging, positioning, and go-to-market recommendations in partnership with commercial leaders.
  • Balance customer value, operational feasibility, and business viability in product decisions.
  • Develop strategic recommendations using customer insights, market trends, and data-driven analysis.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitive trends, regulatory considerations, and industry developments to inform future investments.

Product Design

  • Design scalable service offerings that effectively combine people, process, and technology.
  • Partner with operational leaders to define service delivery models, workflows, quality measures, and success metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, customer outcomes, and operational leverage through standardization and process optimization.
  • Ensure service models can be adopted, implemented, and scaled effectively across diverse customer environments.

Technology Enablement & Digital Experience

  • Identify opportunities where technology can enhance customer experience, provider engagement, service performance, and operational scale.
  • Translate business needs and operational workflows into product requirements, process improvements, and digital experiences.
  • Lead build-versus-buy-versus-partner evaluations and vendor assessments.
  • Ensure technology investments align with strategic objectives, customer outcomes, and long-term scalability.

Customer & Market Leadership

  • Engage directly with customers to understand challenges and validate solutions.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer across Product, Operations, Technology, and Commercial organizations.
  • Leverage customer insights, analytics, and market research to guide product strategy and investment decisions.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and identify opportunities for differentiation.
  • Measure adoption, satisfaction, operational impact, and business outcomes to continuously improve offerings.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence

  • Lead complex initiatives across Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership.
  • Influence decisions without direct authority through strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and executive communication.
  • Facilitate alignment among diverse stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Present business cases, strategic recommendations, roadmap updates, and performance outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Drive accountability and momentum across teams to achieve desired business results.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Strategy, Consulting, Innovation, Business Operations, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience launching and scaling new products, services, or business offerings.
  • Proven success leading initiatives that combine operational services and technology-enabled experiences.
  • Strong customer discovery, market validation, and product strategy capabilities.
  • Experience developing business cases, financial models, and investment recommendations.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Superior written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Track record of operating successfully in ambiguous, fast-moving, and evolving environments.

We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $146,200 -- $282,600 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more information about the specific salary range for the job location. 


CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
