We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to build and grow monetization products at VuMedi. We currently monetize our video education platform by offering advertisements and sponsorship products to pharmaceutical and medical device companies. You will own key product initiatives from vision to execution, deepen our understanding of the monetization opportunities in this space, and champion the needs of our commercial customers. You’ll work on product areas that create new revenue opportunities but balance that growth with keeping VuMedi a destination for physicians to find unbiased educational content.

You Will:

  • Build and deliver the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for monetization products
  • Partner with engineering, design, analytics, product marketing, and customer success to ensure end-to-end delivery of your products with high quality and on time
  • Lead product definition, owning the long-term goals, product requirements, and success metrics for features
  • Develop a deep understanding of our commercial customer’s strategic priorities and related business outcomes 
  • Create alignment with leadership and your partners on strategies, outcomes, prioritization, and roadmap 
  • Establish appropriate rituals and processes to work with appropriate partners across the organization.
  • Identify key metrics for your product areas and ensure they are top of mind in decision-making across the organization  
  • Develop OKRs for the Monetization product development team
  • Balance multiple projects, prioritizing with sound judgment and optimizing for the widest radius of impact.
  • Lead and mentor junior product managers

You are:

  • Passionate about developing empathy for our commercial customers by understanding their needs and solving their problems in this domain
  • Data-driven to an extent that quantitative and qualitative data drives most of your decision-making. Instrumentation and appropriate testing techniques are your strengths, and you use them effectively. 
  • A team player with your trio of engineering and design partners bringing them on board early on so you are bringing the most valuable, usable, feasible, and viable solutions to our customers
  • A good communicator who knows their audience, can surface the right amount of information, and design the right cadence and channels for effective communication 
  • Effective at creating and organizing the documentation that disseminates the right information, gains alignment, and/or shares your deep thinking. This will include business case one-pagers, functional requirements, product specifications, release notes, and user guides 

You have:

  • 8+ years of product management experience building and growing products that drove business metrics and revenue outcomes
  • 4+ years of experience as a product manager building monetization products e.g. advertising, sponsorships, subscriptions, selling products and services, or revenue-driving MarTech technologies  
  • Pressure-tested product judgment and craft to surface opportunities and problem spaces, helping VuMedi deliver the most value possible to its commercial customers. 
  • Preferred but not required experience with paid advertising products and campaign managers from Google, Facebook, Pinterest etc.
