As part of this once in a life-time opportunity to build and make a real impact in insurance marketplace, we are looking for an accomplished, customer obsessed and results-oriented Principal Product Manager to drive our MarTech Capabilities.

As a Principal Product Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Marketing Technology Platforms at GEICO.You will be responsible for leading product strategy, driving the development and execution of product roadmaps, and ensuring that our solutions meet the needs of our customers while driving business outcomes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, Marketing, to deliver high-impact products that drive business growth and customer satisfaction. We are building a world class MarTech Product team within GEICO so that we can enable Marketers to lead with a data driven approach in marketing and help them run high performing campaigns at scale. Additionally, you are a builder who thrives in a scrappy ambiguous startup environment yet has deep product experience to build complex products from scratch and scale them up. 

This position is a hybrid role, and it is required to be on-site 3 days a week at one of the following locations:  

  • New York, NY

  • Washington, DC/Chevy Chase

  • Chicago, IL

  • San Jose/San Francisco, CA

  • Dallas, TX

  • Seattle, WA

  • Fredericksburg, VA/Richmond, VA

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals and market opportunities. 

  • Lead cross-functional teams through the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond. 

  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to gather insights and inform product decisions. 

  • Prioritize features and initiatives based on customer feedback, business impact, and technical feasibility, making trade-off decisions when needed .

  • Drive product development efforts, including defining requirements, managing backlog, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality releases. 

  • Continuously monitor product performance, analyze metrics, and iterate on features to optimize user experience and business outcomes. 

  • Identify options and recommendations, working through trade-offs with partners to remove impediments for the team. 

  • Manage product rollout plan, segmentation, product adoption and opportunities for product promotion. 

  • Partner with Technology leaders to influence end-state architecture and drive secure, resilient, performant, and scalable product solutions that solve material customer and business problems. 

  • Work closely with tech peers and architecture to understand the tradeoffs of technical decisions and lead execution of requirements in an agile fashion by participation in ceremonies.

  • Defines scalable solutions by deep knowledge of marketer workflow.

  • Understand technology concepts and how underlying MarTech product services perform across channels and customer touchpoints.
     

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience equivalent required. 

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of delivering successful products in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • At least 5 years of experience writing requirements and working closely with engineering teams managing all aspects of a product feature throughout its lifecycle from concept to delivery.

  • Experience in building, using, or improving industry leading Marketing Technology Platforms, Content Management Systems (CMS) and Customer Data Platforms (CDP) e.g. Adobe Experience Cloud (AEC, AEP), Adobe Experience Manager(AEM), MailChimp, Segment, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or equivalent.

  • Subject Matter Expertise building platforms with content management, campaign management, audience management, journey management, and workflow management capabilities.

  • Experience with relevant data protection regulations and standards (CCPA, GDPR, etc.).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Content Management Systems architecture, APIs.

  • Knowledge of Email creation and testing tools such as Litmus with solid understanding of how code editors work.

  • Knowledge of content workflows, versioning, permissions and metadata/tagging systems for optimized content management.

  • Demonstrated ability to take a product from concept to launch, with a focus on market research, product design and iteration in agile environment.

  • High sense of accountability and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to influence across the organization.

  • Insurance industry experience.

  • Familiarity with data storage technologies like Graph, Cassandra, TiDB, ADLS, and Snowflake etc.


 

Annual Salary

$128,000.00 - $224,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
