We are hiring for a Principal Product Manager with a proven track record of building AI-driven creative products that help advertisers produce high-quality assets at scale, drive measurable performance, and maintain brand integrity across every format and surface.
In this role, you will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Microsoft Advertising's Creative products. You will partner closely with Data Science, Engineering, UX, Product Marketing, Legal, and Finance to design solutions that enable advertisers to create the right creative, in the right format, in an evolving automation-first landscape.

Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. Responsibilities
- Product Leadership: Develop and communicate the strategy and roadmap for creative automation, GenAI asset generation, and creative quality systems across Microsoft's ad ecosystem.
- Customer Advocacy: Represent the product to advertisers and agencies, deeply understand their creative workflows, and champion those needs internally.
- Execution & Decision-Making: Navigate ambiguity, make tough prioritization decisions, and drive alignment across engineering, design, and business stakeholders.
- Communication & Collaboration: Partner effectively with Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive creative product outcomes.
- Data & AI Innovation: Collaborate with Data Science and ML teams to leverage creative performance signals and generative models that elevate asset quality and safeguard brand trust at scale.
- Go-to-Market Leadership: Lead go-to-market efforts with marketing and sales, ensuring product launches drive adoption, improve creative coverage, and deliver measurable advertiser impact.
- Industry Leadership: Establish Microsoft as a leader in responsible AI-powered creative advertising by shaping internal practices and influencing industry standards.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of ads ecosystem, including creatives, targeting, measurement, or optimization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
- 8+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
- 8+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).
- 5+ years experience developing digital advertising creative products, including creative automation, generative AI asset pipelines, or ad format and quality systems.

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
