Our Connected Planning solutions drive some of the world's largest companies, provide real-time insights, and enable smarter, data-driven decisions that optimize performance and improve decision-making across the enterprise. We are investing extensively in our data orchestration technology called Anaplan Data Orchestrator. 

To support our ambition for growth and expansion, Anaplan is looking for a Principal Level -  Outbound Product Manager for Anaplan Data Orchestrator (ADO). As an outbound PM, you will represent ADO product management to Anaplan's internal field organization. The Outbound ADO PM will also act as a trusted advisor and technical advisor for data orchestration towards our strategic accounts. Applicants should have a Product Management background and highly relevant experience in data orchestration and data management environments.

Reporting to the head of Product Management for ADO, Calculation Engines, and Security, you will be USA-based and instrumental in executing our ADO product strategy. You will be responsible for shaping the direction of the platform and go-to-market approaches to ensure the success of ADO. We expect the candidate to act as a Thought Leader on internal and external data orchestration. You should bring experience working with engineering teams to deliver products and solutions to the market, and demonstrate that you can learn a new market and understand the needs of our customers and partners.

Your Impact

  • Co-drive the ADO product strategy & innovation
  • Drive Adoption of your Anaplan focus area by evangelizing ADO
  • Collaborate with Product and UX leaders to ensure the voice of the customer is always considered in product/feature development
  • Thought Leadership: Represent product management for ADO towards prospects and customers, at industry events, and through social media. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-lead the Anaplan Data Orchestrator product strategy and innovation
  • Understand data market trends, evolutions, and customer requirements, and translate these into value-driven product capabilities
  • Co-drive the Anaplan Data Orchestration roadmap and investment areas
  • Build trusted technical advisor relationships with key stakeholders in the Anaplan field, prospects, and customers
  • Highly senior communications in-person, on stage, and in writing

Your Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise data software technology
  • 5+ years at senior level (Sr. Director)
  • 10+ years of experience in database, data management, and/or data-lake environments, combined with a deep understanding of data architectures
  • Deep domain knowledge of Planning & Analytics software technologies
  • Strong understanding of product management lifecycle and product launch processes
  • Extensive experience in working in/with product management & engineering teams
  • Worked in the following roles:
    • Senior IT leadership roles at a large enterprise in CPG, Retail, FSI, Manufacturing, Energy, Transportation
    • Senior field advisory roles at large tech companies like Microsoft, AWS, SAP, Oracle, ServiceNow, Databricks, Snowflake
    • Senior consultant or practice lead at a big consultancy firm
  • Led high-impact data transformation projects at enterprise scale
  • Proficiency in gathering and analysing market and customer insights.
  • Excellent leadership skills – understand how to balance inputs, lead teams, prioritise, and make data-driven decisions
  • Experience in creating and managing product roadmaps.
  • Experience in creating enablement documentation, including technical & support style documents
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience in managing projects with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery
  • Highly analytical and able to troubleshoot issues quickly; candidates should be able to go from high level to low level very easily
  • A passion for building communities and enabling people
  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously

Base Salary Range:
$152,000$210,000 USD
