Sustaining Principal Product Engineers ensures product continuity after mass production by manage SPS, controllers and various AI products lifecycle, resolving production/ customer issues, and improving COGS. We are seeking a Product Engineer to join our team with a primary focus on sustaining engineering activities. This role as the Product owner and is critical in ensuring the long-term quality, reliability, and manufacturability of our power IC products. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including design, test, manufacturing, and quality—to support mature products in high-volume production, drive yield improvement, resolve customer issues, and extend product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Product owner to multiple products lifecycles, production and compliance. Oversees high volume AI Products mass production manufacturing across all internal factory and subcons
- Managing excursions, sustain Product COGS improvement and process optimization such as Yield/Volume/Test Time/failure improvements, manufacturing performance
- Manage and mitigate risk in PCRB (Process Change Review Board) to keep delivery by supporting product qualifications, second-source/material changes, and process migrations/improvements.
- Disposition of abnormal lots, low yielding lots or production issues
- Cross function interface with Operation, QA, Reliability, Factory and OSAT
- Serve as a mentor for less experienced engineers
- Analyze product performance, failure modes, and reliability to support customer returns (RMA/FA).
Requirements:
- Proven track record of resolving excursion and improving product COGS for high volume mass production manufacturing factory and subcons
- At least have a minimum of 12 years’ experience in Product Engineering.
- Bachelor's Degree Engineering in Electrical/Electronic, Physics, Computer or related fields
- Proficient in Data manipulation and analysis skill. Familiar with JMP, PDF Exenso is a plus.
- Product Management skill. Strong sense of Cost, ROI and efficiency
- Familiar with Integrated Circuit semiconductor process
- Highly self-motivated, adaptable and good time management skill
- Having Product Test Knowledge is a plus.
- Having knowledge of Products, IC, modules such as Driver, Power Stage is a plus.
- Having experience in Development NPI Product Engineering is a plus.
- Need to work onsite.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
