At Elucid the platform you build sits underneath AI that helps cardiologists identify dangerous plaque before a patient has a heart attack. Your architecture choices, your deployment pipelines are part of technology that is actively changing how cardiovascular disease is diagnosed and treated. We're looking for a Principal Platform Engineer with deep AWS and infrastructure experience. You'll own and evolve our Terraform foundations, architect secure automated systems in an FDA-regulated environment and build CI/CD pipelines that let teams ship confidently. This is a hands-on role with real architectural influence, not a ticket queue.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 7+ years of DevOps/SRE/Platform engineering experience in an agile environment, with fluency in at least one scripting or systems language (Python, Ruby, Go, Rust, etc.).
- Deep, hands-on Terraform expertise. You've designed modules, managed state at scale and know where it breaks down.
- Extensive experience building and supporting AWS environments (ECS, EFS, EC2, RDS, Redshift, VPC, Route53, etc.).
- Strong containerization and orchestration skills (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/Fargate) and experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, CircleCI, etc.).
- Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog or New Relic.
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- This role is based out of our office in Boston, MA. We operate in a hybrid model with regular in-office collaboration.
- This role participates in on-call rotation that provides coverage on business days from 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM. The rotation is shared among all team members and generally occurs for 2–3 weeks per quarter.
- The anticipated base salary range for this position at Elucid is $170,000-$205,000. Compensation will be influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity, job-related knowledge, skills, education, relevant experience, certifications, and geography as outlined in the job description.
