Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal or Sr Principal Data Insight Analyst to join the DEE IPT to oversee Tableau development for the program. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. This position is 100% on-site.
The position will follow our 9/80 schedule and allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Essential Functions:
• Lead the design and development of comprehensive dashboards and reporting solutions that integrate multiple data sources
• Perform advanced data extraction using SQL combined with robust analysis in Excel and visualization using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
• Translate complex business requirements into actionable, visually engaging insights
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports
• Mentor junior analysts on best practices for data extraction, analysis, and visualization
Basic Qualifications
• For Principal (level 3): Bachelor’s degree in Business, STEM, or a related field with minimum of 5 years of experience (or Master’s degree with minimum of 3 years)
• For Sr Principal (level 4): Bachelor’s degree in Business, STEM, or a related field with minimum of 8 years of experience (or Master’s degree with minimum of 6 years)
• Expert-level proficiency in leading data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
• Strong SQL skills for efficient data extraction and integration across diverse datasets
• Demonstrated ability to convert complex business challenges into data-driven insights
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
• Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program
access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms or enterprise data warehouses (e.g., Databricks, Palantir, or Denodo)
• Exposure to advanced analytics frameworks and business intelligence best practices
• Proven record in developing and implementing reporting best practices and data governance strategies

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
