About This Team:

The Networking Specialist team is responsible for improving the adoption of NetScaler within CSG Enterprise accounts. With a particular focus on driving the take out of competitive products, the team is key to driving more value to the customer from their platform license.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Be the primary Sales Engineer for the assigned country/region in support of the sales efforts for Citrix NetScaler solutions.

  • Creating and delivering technical product demonstrations, presentations, and network designs and support
  • Participating in consultations and/or product capability assessments with prospects
  • Creating formal relationships with key decision makers and serving as external spokesperson for Citrix
  • Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of intelligent application switching issues and trends as they relate to Citrix NetScaler solutions.
  • Working on issues that impact design/selling success or address proofs of concepts products or technologies
  • Provides a role within the sales teams in assessing potential application of Citrix products to meet customer’s business needs.
  • Leverages Business Value and/or Consultative sales process’ toward prospective users to determine product capability assessment and validation as it applies to the technical sales process.
  • Drive the sales process in partnership with the Account Executive and/or Account Technology Strategist, by identifying the Technical Decision Maker, getting their technical validation, support, and sponsorship
  • Ability to present and communicate at an executive level to both customers and prospects alike to articulate the value proposition and help them understand Citrix innovation and strategy.
  • Gathering technical requirements from customers and aligning those to Citrix solutions, and managing both technical and competitive objections.
  • Has ability to build and manage complex, multi-product proof of concept solutions for customer evaluations as part of a value engagement process.
  • Positively influences and willingly contribute to opportunities beyond their own territory assignment.
  • Work collaboratively with internal technical and sales resources, share best practices, updates, offer and seek expertise as the need arises in various opportunities.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • 5+ years pre-sales experience in a high tech environment
  • Strong understanding of business processes and their implementation into enterprise applications
  • Analytical and negotiation skills, particularly at the C-level
  • Ability to work independently and in a strong team environment, and to deliver on detail as well as strategy
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills
  • Possesses a high level of specialized sales and product solution knowledge
  • Recognized subject matter expert in NetScaler

Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, and Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory
  • Requires broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education.
  • The following certifications (or equivalent) are beneficial but not required: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification, CCDP or similar vendor certification, Citrix Certified Associate – Networking (CCA-N), Citrix Certified Professional – Networking (CCP-N)
  • Pre-sales consulting experience is required in any of these technology areas: Routers and Switches/ Core Networking, Load Balancers, Security (Web, Email, Content, Firewalls), Data Center (Storage Virtualization, Virtual Switching)
  • Demonstrated efficiency in system integration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network environments
  • Understanding of bandwidth management and quality of service concepts

Optional Experience/Skills:

  • Additional European languages are preferred
