 Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider making data faster and safer, is seeking to hire an exceptional Principal Manufacturing QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team in Taiwan or South Korea. In this role, you will be working with some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world developing products that make data faster and safer.  

  

As a Manufacturing QA Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring product quality and process integrity across the end-to-end chip manufacturing and guarantee product quality that consistently meets customer requirements. In this full-time role, you’ll report directly to our Quality Assurance Director. Our Quality Assurance team is dedicated to ensuring our products conform and comply with the customer and applicable requirements, and your contributions will be instrumental in ensuring product quality and reliability. 


Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for most office-based roles. Employees are encouraged to spend an average of at least three days per week onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.  

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for assuring consistent quality controls across the various manufacturing partners  
  • Drive manufacturing quality through process and process control improvements. Monitoring effectiveness of PFMEA and Process Control plans to ensure these are appropriate and sufficient to guarantee the desired product quality. 
  • Coordinate with manufacturing partners and stakeholders on 8Ds related to manufacturing processes and drive the resolution, and corrective actions of customer quality or internal process events.  
  • Responsible for defining and standardizing quality requirements for backend processes related to packing and labeling as well as deploying customer-specific requirements. 
  • Ensure that Rambus quality and manufacturing requirements are in line and comply with applicable industry standards, (e.g., JEDEC, EIA, etc.) 
  • Supports risk assessment of nonconforming products as well as supplier PCN submissions. 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, in a relevant engineering field 
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry, with 5 yrs min experience in Process and/or Quality Engineering in semiconductor manufacturing. 
  • Preferred direct working experiences in semiconductor foundry and/or OSATs  
  • Working knowledge of relevant industry standards, JEDEC, EIA, etc. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Skills Required
