Copenhagen, HQ
The Role
This is a senior role with ownership of how data is sourced, structured, and used across our compliance reporting services and related reporting solutions. You will define the direction, make key decisions, and drive implementation.
You will build and shape a central data foundation for reporting including how data is sourced, modelled, and exposed to reporting teams. While parts of the landscape exist, much of this is close to greenfield, giving you the opportunity to simplify and establish a strong, scalable foundation.
The role combines architecture and hands‑on work. You will set standards for data models and sourcing patterns; while ensuring they work in practice and are adopted by teams. You will work across domains with architects, developers, and upstream data teams, acting as the go‑to person for how data is structured and consumed in reporting.
What You’ll Do
You will own how data is sourced, structured, and used across our compliance reporting services and other reporting solutions. This includes building a solid data foundation, defining clear data models, and ensuring data is consistent and usable across teams. The role combines design, implementation, and day‑to‑day guidance on how data is used.
- Own data sourcing and integration for reporting solutions within the bank
- Design and maintain core domain data models for reporting
- Build and evolve the central data foundation for reporting (including event‑driven and batch sourcing)
- Define how data is structured, documented, and made available for reporting and analytics
- Ensure data is consistent, reusable, and well‑governed across solutions
- Implement validation and controls to ensure data quality and traceability
- Guide development teams on how to use data correctly and efficiently
- Document data models, data flows, and dependencies end‑to‑end
- Work with architects and upstream data/platform teams to align data sourcing and distribution
Your Profile
We’re looking for a senior profile who can take ownership of the reporting data foundation and make it work in practice. You combine strong architectural skills with a hands‑on approach and are comfortable setting direction across teams.
Success in the role is defined by your ability to create simple, reusable structures that are widely adopted and make reporting easier to build and maintain.
- Strong experience in data architecture and data modelling
- Solid understanding of data sourcing, integration patterns, and reporting needs
- Proven ability to design data structures that are simple, consistent, and reusable
- Hands‑on approach, moving from design to development and implementation
- Comfortable working across teams (including global/distributed teams) and setting direction
You are successful in this role when:
- Data is consistent and aligned across reporting solutions
- Data models are clear, well understood, and actively used by teams
- Reporting solutions are faster and easier to build and maintain
- Duplication is reduced and data quality issues decrease
Nice to have
- Experience with financial or regulatory/compliance reporting
- Experience with shared data platforms or centralized data foundations
- Exposure to modern data platforms and technologies such as:
- Event‑driven data sourcing (e.g. Apache Kafka or similar)
- Cloud‑based data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, or similar)
- Modern data engineering practices (e.g. data pipelines, CI/CD, automated testing for data)
- Experience with different hosting scenarios, such as:
- On‑premises environments
- Containerised solutions (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes or similar)
- Public or hybrid cloud environments
