Principal, Info Security, App, Data, Cloud Security - Business Enablement /Solution Design Architect
Job Purpose and Impact
- The Principal - Security Solution Design Architect is a strategic cybersecurity advisor who designs tailored security solutions to meet complex or unique business needs that fall outside the scope of standard design patterns. This role is ideal for someone who can navigate ambiguity, engage deeply with stakeholders, and creatively apply or combine existing security capabilities to solve emerging challenges.
You'll be the go-to expert when a request-such as integrating with a new joint venture, securing a novel platform, or evaluating emerging technology-requires more than a one-size-fits-all approach. Sometimes the answer is a single known pattern; other times, it's a thoughtful combination of multiple capabilities. Your ability to assess, adapt, architect, and test the right solution is what makes this role critical.
Key Accountabilities
- CYBER SECURITY STRATEGY & SOLUTIONS: Provides thought leadership to develop comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with organizational goals to protect digital assets, and leads the design, development and maintenance of high quality solutions by leveraging a mix of existing security capabilities or designing new capabilities.
- TECHNICAL SOLUTION: Leads the rapid development and testing of technology solutions on digital platforms, assures approprIate implementation, communication and enforcement of policies and standards, identifies systemic compliance gaps and root cause resolution, and propose improvement options.
- COST EVALUATION: Evaluates total cost of ownership and return on investment of various highly complex information technology platform and system alternatives to support architecture decision making.
- SERVICE ADVISORY: Provides consultation and recommendations to business leaders for a medium to large portfolio of architecture services.
- STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT: Partner with BISOs, business leaders, and technical teams to understand nuanced security requirements, business drivers, and risk tolerance.
- CAPABILITY AWARENESS: Maintain deep knowledge of InfoSec's service catalog and operating model to effectively leverage internal capabilities.
- COLLABORATION: Influences to foster collaboration with the broader technology organization, business units, product teams and other cross functional partners to gather requirements, set priorities, and deliver resolutions to meet business objectives.
- DOCUMENTATION & COMMUNICATION: Clearly articulate solution designs, trade-offs, and implementation plans to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- SECURITY POLICY: Defines and Leads the implementation of corporate security policies and best in class industry standards to ensure compliance and protect organizational assets.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience.
Compensation Data
The expected salary for this position is $150,000 - $200,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.

Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
