We are looking for a self-driving Principal IC Failure Analysis Engineer with strong technical problem-solving experience on advanced process nodes. You will have the ability perform failure analysis to root cause and drive corrective actions to resolution while reporting clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll do
- Be responsible for identifying and analyzing failures to improve product yield, reliability, and performance by performing EFA and PFA as required.
- Work with customers on returns and drive solutions to satisfy customer requirements.
- Work with design, package, test and product engineering teams on die and component failure analysis using failure analysis techniques to determine root cause.
- Support product development by providing failure analysis and feedback
What You'll Need
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IC failure analysis in advanced technology nodes 16nm and below.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong knowledge of device physics and ASIC design layout.
- Proficiency in conducting detailed electrical and physical failure analysis on integrated circuits using advanced analytical techniques and tools (e.g. EDX, FIB, EMMI,Obirch)
- Identify root causes of failures and provide comprehensive reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Define and maintain failure analysis procedures.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics and failure mechanisms.
- Experience with electrical characterization and testing of integrated circuits.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in failure analysis.
