Role Overview  

With the latest advances in AI/ML, we have the opportunity to rethink the traditional search stack to deliver unique, high-quality experiences to our customers that were traditionally outside the realm of possibility. This Search Product Leader role will be hands-on and potentially involve building out a team of product managers focusing on the Search ML stack. This role will focus on Search experience in Coupang’s Taiwan market.
As a Director/ Principal of Product Management, you will ensure the teams deliver the highest-quality products and services predictably while meeting technical needs. You will guide both strategy and tactical decision-making to deliver complex cross-team programs. You will also partner with stakeholders and managers across Coupang to help support the strategic deliverables while working with engineering to support significant technical efforts.

What You Will Do 

• Define the strategy for our Taiwan Search and Discovery stack to provide a delightful experience while directing day-to-day execution towards that vision.
• Hire and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers & Product Analysts with deep expertise in ML-based systems. Background in Search ML is a definite plus.
• Review metrics regularly and proactively seek out new and improved mechanisms to improve performance visibility and optimize the Search and Discovery product portfolio.
• Work with stakeholder to develop innovative solutions for their business problems.

Basic Qualifications  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in ML product management, including developing, delivering, and executing on a strong product vision.
• Experience working on Search and Discovery customer experiences/ML stack.
• Analytical thinker who works well in a global, fast-paced, data-driven, cross-functional, and highly ambiguous entrepreneurial culture.
• Bias for action and willingness to get your hands dirty to get the job done.
• Sound business judgment and proven ability to effectively communicate and influence others, including executive-level reviews.
• Ability to think strategically and at the same time stay on top of tactical execution.
