The mission of the HR business partner function at TraceLink is to support the business’ ability to achieve its strategic goals by doing right by our people.  We coach and advise TraceLink leaders on organizational and talent strategies that ensure we have the right capabilities, organizational structure, and environment to foster engaged employees and high performing teams. 

Reporting to the Senior Director, HR Business Partners, the Principal HR Business Partner will advise C-level executives and their respective organizations for the global Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Operations teams.  

Key job responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into HR priorities and own development and delivery of talent and organizational strategy for assigned client groups. 

  • Advise leaders on matters related to organizational design and change management, strategic workforce planning, succession planning, skills assessment and development, and organizational health priorities.  

  • Analyze key organizational metrics to proactively identify meaningful trends.  Communicate insights to leaders, collaboratively create actions plans, and measure results.  

  • Coach executive leaders and their leadership team members on people management, progressive performance management, and employee relations matters.  Conduct workforce investigations, as needed.  

  • In partnership with the global compensation leader, conduct salary analysis to ensure equitable and fair compensation practices, ensure headcount requests are leveled and scoped correctly, and validate and approve promotion nominations.   

  • Champion TraceLink’s values and leadership principles and work with the business to foster a workplace culture where all employees can thrive and grow.

  • Work closely with specialist HR teams and international HR colleagues on matters related to global workforce initiatives, design and implementation of learning and development programs to address identified business needs, and talent acquisitions initiatives centered around hiring for skill and organizational fit. 
     

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and/or equivalent skill and work experience.

  • 10+ years of HR business partner experience, preferably in global high technology or SaaS companies.  

  • 5+ years experience working with global teams, driving organizational change initiatives and developing talent management plans.

  • Prior experience supporting Sales and Marketing organizations strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in organizational design, change management, and talent management.

  • Ability to think strategically and be self-motivated to execute and drive results.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as an active member of both business and HR teams

  • Adept at developing trusted relationships with leaders and employees at all levels.

  • Strong analytical skills, including the understanding of metrics to support plans and monitor performance.

  • Understanding of US labor laws and regulations; some familiarity with global labor laws a plus.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.

  • Work from our Wilmington, MA headquarters five days a week, with flexibility provided, as needed, to manage important personal or family matters.
