Join Hamilton Lane, a global leader in private markets, as we scale to meet the demands of our growing client base. Here, you’ll work with ambitious, high‑performing teams built on integrity, candor and collaboration, backed by our market-leading data and technology. We invest heavily in our people and our partners, giving you the platform to enrich lives, safeguard futures and grow your career.
What We Do
As one of the largest private markets investment firms globally, we provide innovative solutions to institutional and private wealth investors around the world, specializing in flexibility and full-spectrum access. We currently employ approximately 800 professionals operating in offices throughout North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East, and have $1.0 trillion in assets under management and supervision, composed of $146.1 billion in discretionary assets and $871.5 billion in non-discretionary assets, as of December 31, 2025.
The Opportunity:
Private markets continue to open to new investor bases, and the way capital is raised is being rewritten. Institutions are deepening their allocations. Evergreen and interval structures, expanding wealth platforms and advisor demand are bringing private markets to investors who have never had access before. The firms that win will understand every client segment better than anyone else and show up for each one with the right story, the right experience and the right timing.
The Head of Channel Marketing is a newly created role responsible for translating the firm’s commercial priorities into tailored marketing solutions for each client segment. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this leader will work with Marketing, Client Solutions, Product and Investment to identify where growth will come from, then design and execute the full-funnel programs that capture it.
The role owns segmentation and audience strategy, and uses client insight, pipeline data and campaign performance to direct marketing investment toward the segments, platforms and accounts with the greatest opportunity. The Head of Channel Marketing is accountable for commercial outcomes, including pipeline created and influenced, conversion, assets raised, and client retention, and will build the strategy, team and processes for the channel marketing team.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Define and own the channel marketing strategy and multi-year roadmap for each priority segment, tied to the firm’s commercial goals
- Own audience strategy across institutional and private wealth, and continually refine it with client insight, market intelligence and performance data
- Partner with Product and Product Marketing to ensure the brand narrative and product positioning are translated into segment-specific messaging pillars that are consistent across the firm and distinctive in the market
- Design full-funnel, multi-channel programs that drive awareness, engagement, conversion and retention across the client lifecycle, with clear targets for lead generation, pipeline and assets raised
- Support the full product and client lifecycle, from launch and capital raising through ongoing education, retention and expansion
- Build a trusted partnership with Client Solutions, aligning segment priorities, pipeline goals and coverage models, and provide the teams with the content, tools and insight they need to win
- Establish shared lead definitions, hand-offs and feedback loops between Marketing and Sales
- Set measurable goals and KPIs for every campaign/program, and report on engagement, pipeline contribution, conversion, assets raised and marketing ROI
- Own channel budgets and manage agency and media partners, from brief through delivery, reallocating investment based on performance
Your background will include:
- 12+ years of marketing experience in asset management, private markets, alternatives or wealth management, with at least 5 years leading teams
- A record of building from scratch: a channel strategy, a segmentation model, a team or a function that did not exist before you, and the results it delivered
- Proven commercial impact, with specific outcomes you can point to, such as pipeline created, conversion improved, or assets raised
- Experience owning segmentation and audience strategy, and shifting budget toward the segments and accounts that produce growth
- Hands-on use of AI, automation and marketing technology to launch faster, personalize at scale and improve campaign performance, with results you can quantify
- Command of investment products, client segments, distribution partners and the regulatory requirements for marketing in financial services; experience across institutional and wealth or intermediary audiences is a plus
- Strong digital, CRM, marketing automation and analytics skills, and the judgment to turn data into decisions
- Clear, concise communication of complex investment ideas to different audiences
- Experience managing budgets and agency partners
