The Role
The Quantitative Research & Investing Technology (QRIT) team within Fidelity’s Asset Management Technology group is seeking a highly motivated and curious Full Stack Engineer with the focus on DevOps. In this role you will contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced development team creating a development and integration platform for Quantitative Researchers. You are committed to constructing high-quality, scalable, robust, resilient and efficient analytical and software solutions that propel investment processes forward.
The Expertise and Skill You Bring
7+ Years DevOps, infrastructure or related experience including software development
Deep knowledge of core AWS services such as IAM, VPC, EC2, RDS, Route 53, S3 and Linux OS
Experience or exposure to container-based runtimes and orchestration tools such as Docker and AWS EKS /ECS
Practical and proven skill with programming and scripting languages such as Python and Bash
Good understanding of web services, databases and related infrastructure
Background in building, maintaining and automating build and test pipelines with tools such as Jenkins.
Proven understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts
Enjoys collaborating with other developers, pair programming, reviewing code and white-boarding problems
Excellent problem-solving skills, for when the playbook just doesn't cover it
Optimally work across teams and within pre-defined constraints to stand up a new stable service
Security experience is a plus
Design and build our application infrastructure on AWS using a variety of technologies
Own the build and deploy process supporting CI/CD across multiple environments
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
