Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst (Level 3) to join us in the pursuit of top-tier financial performance.
This position is located onsite in El Segundo, CA and will report to the Manager of Financial Reporting and Accounting and will have the following responsibilities:
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting data and analysis in support of the company’s U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) disclosure requirements
Analyze program financials, including, but not limited to: financial statement accounts analysis, analysis of aged balances, and other analysis and reporting as assigned
Coordinate with the finance and business management teams to develop strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting process
Develop presentations and work papers to support and inform Division and Sector leadership
Prepare non-routine journal entries in S4/HANA and HFM
Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and documentation
Liaise with auditors by providing requested PBC items and thoroughly responding to questions in support of the audit
Support special projects on an ad hoc basis
Support the development of presentations for Division and Sector leadership
Interface and coordinate with business, program, and sector personnel to drive process changes and resolve Sector wide issues

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related discipline with 5 years of accounting, audit, and/or business management experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of stated experience
Public Accounting experience (each year of relevant Public Accounting experience counts for 2 years of experience above)
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA License/CPA Candidate in the near term
Aerospace and Defense Industry experience
Experience with SAP/S4 HANA and/or HFM
SEC reporting experience
Excellent knowledge of US GAAP
Active US Government Secret clearance
