Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Solutions Architect to join our team at Vizient. In this role, you will play a critical role in driving the adoption of standard platforms within our technology organization. You will partner with product strategy, business development, Corporate IT, and engineering stakeholders to develop and execute business cases and product/platform roadmaps. As an expert in your field, you will evangelize new technologies and platforms that enable Vizient to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver value to our members and customers. Responsibilities:

• Provide architectural guidance and ownership for large-scale projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution.

• Grow developer communities and guilds. Promote platforms and stacks with demos and roadshows. Work towards the adoption of solutions across stakeholders.

• Stay up to date with emerging technology capabilities and assess their potential for driving business opportunities at Vizient.

• Provide expertise and guidance to internal teams on architecture, technology strategy, and best practices.

• Solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business, leveraging your deep understanding of enterprise architecture.

• Develop frameworks and approaches that improve overall quality and efficiency for the team and Vizient as a whole.

• Lead architecture and design sessions at the product line and program level.

• Serve as a recognized leader within the technology organization, contributing to the advancement of technology and innovation at Vizient.

• Collaborate across team boundaries to ensure platform alignment, reusability, and standardization.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field desired. Master's degree preferred. 

• 10 or more years of experience required in specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).

• 3 or more years of experience involved in the design and architecture of complex enterprise systems are required.

• Strong background in designing and implementing scalable solutions that leverage Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs).

• Proven experience in data engineering and application architecture with the ability to manage large datasets to drive business innovation and efficiency.

• Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

• Hands-on experience in creating visualizations for technical and business stakeholders.

• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF or similar), with a focus on Data, Application, Technology, and Business architecture. Certification is desirable.

• Fluent in applying Gen AI patterns for building efficient solutions. 

• Possess an excellent understanding of business strategy, product strategy, and business development principles. 

• Preferred candidates will have experience and understanding of healthcare data.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions.

• Excellent presentation skills.

• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.

• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and familiarity with cloud architecture patterns.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $156,500.00 to $273,700.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
