Introduction

As a Principal Process Integration Engineer, you will lead the development, optimization, and integration of semiconductor processes to drive yield improvement, product performance, and manufacturability. You will serve as a technical expert, guiding complex problem-solving, influencing cross-functional teams, and delivering strategic process improvements across product lines.

Job description

  • Lead identification, resolution, and continuous improvement of process integration and yield-related issues

  • Drive end-to-end project management and advanced data analysis to support integration and yield objectives

  • Develop custom and derivative process solutions to meet evolving customer and product requirements

  • Provide technical leadership in resolving complex process integration challenges using deep device and process knowledge

  • Support new product development with module characterization and design rule development

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce defectivity and address yield and technical concerns

  • Design, develop, and enhance test structures for rapid and robust process characterization

  • Drive Continuous Improvement Plans (CIP) to achieve organizational performance, yield, and quality goals

  • Build and maintain defect source libraries; lead tool defect fingerprinting and defect trend analysis

  • Perform product and process partitioning studies for yield and defect characterization to enable targeted improvements

  • Ensure processes are thoroughly documented, including failure mode analysis, risk mitigation, and detection strategies

  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across integration and yield engineering activities

  • Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives and technology roadmap development

  • Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Masters in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related discipline

  • Extensive experience in semiconductor process integration, yield engineering, or related areas

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to handle complex technical challenges

  • Proven ability to lead projects and influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with statistical analysis, DOE methodologies, SPC monitoring, and data-driven problem solving

  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide teams

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to drive results
