Principal Data Scientist

Summary of the Position:

Looking for scientist with a strong background in Computer Vision and Machine Learning, who aspire to be part of a Data Science & AI function in R&D. This role involves applying analytics and software skills for product development and process automation. Candidate must have proven experience in developing algorithms and designing digital solutions to solve real-world problems. Advanced knowledge in modern image & video processing is highly desirable. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals with a passion for applying AI/ML in the health-care sector.

Additional Job Description

·       Bachelors, M.S. (preferred) or Ph.D. (preferred) in Computer Vision, Robotics, Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Optics, or related quantitative fields.

·       Proven experience in applying advanced quantitative methods to solve real-world problems in the medical device industry or equivalent industry and/or academic experience.

·       Demonstrable expertise in algorithm development, including, coding, algorithm testing, algorithm validation, and software development for Medical Device

·       Good working knowledge on handling multi-modal data (e.g. image, video stream, text)

·       Good working knowledge on applying and adapting state of the art Deep Learning models to solve 2D/3D computer vision problems.

·       Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams is highly desirable.

Minimum Requirements:

·       Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

·       The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.

·       7 years of hands-on working experience in applying AI/ML methods for real-world problem solving in the medical device industry or equivalent industry experience is preferred.
