We are looking for problem solvers to help us build next-generation features, products, and services. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of engineers on microservices and event-driven architectures. You are expected to contribute to the architecture, design, and development of new features, identify technical risks and find alternate solutions to various problems. In addition, the role also demands to lead, motivate & mentor other team members with respect to technical challenges.
What you’ll be doing:
Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business and product requirements.
Define database schemas, relationships, and standards across systems (transactional & analytical).
Collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams to ensure data architecture aligns with system design and business goals.
Drive data normalization, entity definition, and integrity standards.
Evaluate and recommend database technologies (SQL/NoSQL, cloud DBs, etc.).
Create and maintain data dictionaries, ER diagrams, and comprehensive documentation.
Ensure performance optimization and scalability of data structures.
Participate in code and schema reviews to ensure model consistency and quality.
Define data governance practices and policies to ensure data quality, consistency, security, and compliance.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring in database architecture, modeling techniques, and data integration methods.
Stay current with industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance data architecture effectiveness.
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Minimum 10-14 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years specifically in data architecture.
Proven experience designing and implementing data models, including ER diagrams, dimensional modeling, and normalization techniques.
Strong expertise in relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
Proficiency with data modeling tools such as ERwin, PowerDesigner, or similar tools.
Knowledge of cloud data platforms and services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide creative and innovative solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
