Introduction:

Data engineer for Data Warehousing solutions as part of the global Manufacturing Technology Data Solutions Group, based in the GlobalFoundries facility in Bengaluru, India.  The Data Solutions Group is responsible for integrating manufacturing and engineering data out of a high variety of source systems used in the semiconductor engineering and production process. The person In this role will be responsible for the design, implementation, optimization and support of enhancements and deficiency corrections, as well as the coordination of new releases. Responsibilities will also include activities to streamline and further standardize the architecture in the data warehouse space and provide technical consulting to projects with data warehouse related scope. A thorough understanding of Data Warehousing and Software Development Lifecycle concepts, strong communication skills and a process-oriented mindset are required in addition to very good technical and documentation skills. 

Your Job:  

• Understand and translate business cases into holistic solutions using AWS Cloud Services, PySpark, EMR, Python, Data Ingestion, and Cloud DB Redshift/Postgres.
• Develop PL/SQL for high volume data sets.
• Prepare data warehouse design artifacts based on given requirements, including ETL framework design, data modeling, and source-target mapping.
• Monitor and optimize DB queries for performance tuning and optimization opportunities.
• Manage and execute large, complex database projects in environments producing high-volume data.
• Perform detailed root cause analysis to solve complex problems and document identified issues and their resolutions.
• Provide recommendations for enhancements and improvements.
• Offer consulting, interfacing, and standards relating to database management; monitor transaction activity and utilization.
• Analyze and resolve performance issues, ensuring efficient operation of databases.
• Design and develop data warehouses, including logical and physical schema design.

Other Responsibilities: 

• Integrate manufacturing and engineering data from a variety of source systems used in semiconductor engineering and production processes.
• Conceptualize and deliver high-quality, timely solutions that meet the analytical needs of engineers in a leading-edge semiconductor foundry.

Required Qualifications:

• Education -Any Bachelors or Masters degree
• Years of Experience – 5+

Preferred Qualifications:

• Any AWS cloud certification
• Experience with one or more industry-leading ETL tools
