Job Description:
What You'll Do
Reviews, drafts, and negotiates Network contracts and rules that accurately reflect business requirements while minimizing risk to Discover.
Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
How You'll Do It

• Independently reviews, drafts, and amends complex Network agreements, rules and Program documents in consultation with the advisory attorneys, business partners, and other SMEs as needed. Influences and negotiates with stakeholders autonomously and drafts rule changes, incorporating broad stakeholder feedback.
• Utilizes the appropriate Discover contract management tools to manage workflow, track contracts, and retain accurate contract records.
• Ensures that Network rules, contracts, programs, projects, and assigned policies, procedures and controls are implemented in order to remain compliant with laws, regulations, and any company reporting requirements. Ensures efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
• Exercises prudent discretion and decision-making capabilities to draft contracts, complete projects, and enhance programs or processes, with manager/attorney oversight. Continuously improve processes. Demonstrates advanced organization skills and attention to detail.
• Communicates effectively with colleagues, clients and management, third parties, and counterparties as necessary to provide information and/or make decisions. Communicates updates and escalations to clients, colleagues, and management as necessary.

Qualifications You'll Need
Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors Business Administration and Management or related
• 6+ years Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts or related

Preferred Requirements

• Masters or J.D. Law

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $91,000.00 to $153,400.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
