This role is responsible for applying skilled knowledge of engineering principles and practices in electrical engineering to support NPD, sustaining and productivity designs that have average complexity. This role will be heavily involved in reusing, testing and troubleshooting electrical designs in support of new product development projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and simulate electrical circuits using Multisim.
  • Design electrical circuits and PCBs using Altium Designer
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical circuits by using common test equipment such as power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.
  • Build prototype electrical circuits by using basic soldering skills and basic project management skills.
  • Write technical documentation such as specifications and test reports to support project deliverables
  • Responsible for complying with the security requirements set forth by the Information Security team and the established ISO 27001 Security Roles, Responsibilities, and Authorities Document found in the ISMS Document Library.
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Advanced degree in directly applicable area of study may substitute for up to two (2) years of experience
  • 3+ years of job-related experience as defined in the Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Able to travel up to 10% - domestically and internationally

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Determines own work priorities and timelines and integrates with other timelines with Manager oversight.
  • Demonstrates knowledge in a specialty/role and is given multiple work assignments for handling.
  • Designs and implements new programs, services or approaches.
  • Independently gathers information and makes judgments and/or recommendations as appropriate.
  • Establishes working relationships with others outside area of expertise.
  • Gains support for complex or difficult decisions/solutions; builds alignment among decision makers.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification; or commitment to obtain certification within two (2) years of date of hire or promotion.
  • Experience with electrical components, switch mode power supplies, power management circuits, motor control circuits, analog circuits, and RF impedance matching; experience with wireless communication standards like Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
  • Analyze and simulate RF circuits and structures by using Ansys HFSS.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work within cross functional teams to create electro-mechanical products; strong analytical skills; effective communication skills; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
The pay range for this position is $76,600.00 - $144,700.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
