The Role

The Tax & Accounting group develops, sells and supports software and services to major corporate and commercial clients with a particular though not exclusive focus on tax and accounting software. The Client Services group is responsible for maintaining client relationships, feeding back client requirements into the product development process, supporting pre- and post-sales activity and assisting product development initiatives through its close association with clients. This role is a client services role for ONESOURCE Tax Provisions.

About the Role:

In this opportunity as Senior Implementation Consultant you will:

  • Experience in using Direct tax technology

  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax, OneSource Tax Provisions.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to demystify complex issues with senior decision makers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive results.

  • Client Service – experience working with clients on a range of different projects, delivering excellent client service.

  • Communications/Status Reporting – ability to effectively communicate findings and solutions to client and prepare status updates for projects and regularly communicate and share knowledge with the client and the team.

  • Monitoring costs of own work in alignment with project plan

  • Accountability for the quality of own work and delivery within agreed procedures and timeframes

  • Accountability for determining the approach used to address routine professional issues.

  • Experience of implementing tax specific technology solutions with a track record for delivering to meet customer expectations and deliver expected value.

  • A strong focus on customer service, collaboration and a desire to exceed customer expectations.

  • Good understanding of principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing project workload and analysis needed for key deliverables.

  • Experience of working on technology implementations including solution design, deliverables, stakeholder management and project communication.

About you:
In this opportunity as Senior Implementation Consultant, you will work as a Tax Technology Transformation:

  • 6+ years of project management, professional services, or consulting experience with a focus on ASC740 and tax provisions.
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant industry certifications (e.g. CA, MBA).
  • Implement complex, global, multi-year projects using ONESOURCE Tax Provision.

  • Project Management and Coordination including client facing expectation management.
  • Scope and estimate global, multi-year project SOWs based on customer’s business requirements and Thomson Reuters commercial objectives.
  • Create project plans for global, multi-year projects.
  • Viewed internally and externally as a deep functional expert with respect to ASC740 and ONESOURCE Tax Provision.
  • Comfortable selling the value of Thomson Reuters professional services offerings to new and install base customers.  Must have strong commercial acumen and sales skills
  • Able to achieve results working within a fast paced, global, cross-functional matrix organization.
  • Mentor and train implementation specialists, consultants,  and principal consultants. 
  • Must be successful delivering projects entirely with TR staff and contractors (“sole source”) as well as partnering and jointly implementing projects with Thomson Reuters certified partners.
  • Must have high-powered analytical skills and the ability to understand concepts and situations that pass by many others
  • Must have excellent communication skills, strong project management skills, and demonstrated success in adult learning and training principles/skills.
