The Position:


We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Consultant to join our rapidly expanding team. This is a key leadership role responsible for steering major IT modernization initiatives and shaping the strategic direction for our federal agency clients. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and exceptional leadership capabilities to drive complex projects and programs to successful outcomes.

Role Specific Duties:

  • Lead major IT modernization projects and programs for federal agencies.
  • Develop and implement program management strategies and operating models.
  • Develop comprehensive Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) strategies that align with client's long-term objectives and drive organizational change.
  • Oversee multiple workstreams and integrate efforts across complex portfolios.
  • Engage with senior executive stakeholders (GS-15 level and above).
  • Drive development of strategic roadmaps and technology architecture plans.
  • Identify and mitigate enterprise-level risks and issues.
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and methodologies.
  • Mentor and develop Senior Consultants and Consultants.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in technology consulting and program management.
  • Deep knowledge of federal IT modernization initiatives and challenges.
  • Proven track record of leading major projects and driving significant business outcomes.
  • Expert in strategic program/portfolio management tools and methodologies.
  • Outstanding leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills at the executive level.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics.
  • Experience with Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) tools (e.g., ServiceNow SPM) and agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)) is highly desired.
  • Deep expertise in Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) concepts, methodologies, and tools.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required security clearances.
  • May require up to 10% travel.
  • Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant.
