Job DescriptionJob Summary
We are seeking a Business Consultant with Public Sector experience to support the analysis, design, and implementation of technology-driven solutions for government agencies. This role will focus on gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and ensuring successful solution adoption to improve service delivery for federal, state, and local government organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Engage stakeholders to understand and document business needs.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and process mapping.
- Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
Solution Design & Implementation Support
- Optimize workflows for government services and citizen engagement.
- Collaborate on system integration and cloud-based platform adoption.
- Support automation, reporting, and self-service tools.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop and execute test cases and UAT plans.
- Facilitate UAT sessions and feedback collection.
- Track defects and enhancement requests for quality delivery.
Stakeholder Management & Training
- Serve as liaison between business, IT, and partners.
- Conduct training and support system adoption.
Technical & Functional Skills
- 10+ years as a Business Consultant, 3+ years in public sector.
- Experience with digital transformation and enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
Public Sector & Compliance Knowledge
- Understanding of FedRAMP, FISMA, HIPAA, CJIS regulations.
- Experience with citizen engagement, public sector workflows, compliance and service delivery models.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Preferred Certifications
- CBAP or PMI-PBA
- CSM or PMP
- Location: New York City
- Working Model: Hybrid (2-3 days in-office per week or as per business needs)
- Salary Range: $120K Gross - $150K Gross (includes base+bonuses), depending on skills and years of experience.
