Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Configuration Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida and is contingent upon program clearance.
Essential Functions:
Plans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met.
Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.
Interpretation of Form DD-1423 requirements and the direct correlation between Contract and Subcontract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRL/SDRLs).
Validate Configuration and Data Management (CDM) Statement of Work (SOW) requirements.
Manages supplier accounts for tracking, processing and reporting of supplier data deliverables.
Work in a support capacity for the Supplier Management Team pertaining to assigned supplier accounts being managed.
Coordinates modification records for management control.
Applying Configuration Management and Data Management principles / best practices to include management of contract and supplier data.
Must have a working understanding of MIL-HDBK-61.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least of 5 years of professional / military experience in a Systems Engineering or Configuration Data Management environment OR a Master’s degree with at least 3 years of professional / military work experience in a Systems Engineering or Configuration Data Management environment OR at least 9 years of professional / military experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Must have experience following documented rules and guidelines to ensure technical content meets internal and customer requirements.
Must have an active US Government Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working experience within a Configuration and Data Management discipline.
Advanced working experience in Jira.
Working experience with SharePoint.
Teamcenter proficiency.
Excellent organizational skills to include the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
