Principal, Communications & Change Management Lead
The Principal, Communications & Change Management Lead is leader of the Change Management and Communications team under Mercer Singapore’s Career Practice. This team supports external and internal clients on all their Change Management and Communications needs. These include Communications & Change Management strategies, execution plans, stakeholder analysis and engagement, communications artifact creation, and change enablement programs.
We will count on you to:
Lead and oversee domestic and multi-country projects of medium to high complexity in the areas of Culture, Change Management, Communications, and Transformation.
Act as the senior client lead on engagements, building trusted relationships with client executives and steering projects from diagnosis and design through execution and closure.
Own the overall quality, profitability, and delivery of engagements, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, and to a consistently high standard.
Shape and socialise strategic recommendations with clients, influencing decision-making at senior levels.
Develop change and communications strategies that are aligned to broader business, workforce, and transformation objectives.
Collaborate with colleagues across lines of business and geographies to design integrated, client-ready solutions and deliverables.
Provide direction, coaching, and quality oversight to consultants, business analysts, and project team members, ensuring strong delivery and team development.
Act as a mentor and role model, building capability within the team and contributing to a strong talent pipeline and advancing on a strong workplace culture within the Mercer Singapore Career Practice which forms the pride of Mercer Singapore.
Support and lead business development efforts, including proposal development, client presentations, opportunity shaping, and relationship management.
Identify growth opportunities across Mercer’s suite of solutions and contribute to account expansion and client retention.
Represent Mercer credibly in client conversations and market-facing discussions, bringing insight on culture, change, communications, and transformation trends.
What you need to have:
Extensive experience in Change Management and Communications, with a track record of leading complex client engagements across external and internal stakeholders.
Strong experience in Organization Development, Workforce Transformation, Culture Change, or related HR transformation initiatives.
Proven ability to develop and lead enterprise or function-level change strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, and communications programs.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, shape propositions, and contribute to revenue growth.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple project workstreams or large project modules, with accountability for delivery quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.
Excellent executive presence, with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Ability to build strong internal and external relationships and work effectively across diverse teams, geographies, and disciplines.
Experience mentoring and developing junior team members and contributing to team capability building.
Prosci certification will be a plus.
Additional experience in transformation consulting, employee experience, or organizational effectiveness will be an advantage.
