Role Overview:
As Principal Cloud and AI Architect, you will work out of the Neuhausen office, hybrid or remotely and report directly to the Switzerland-based manager. You will drive the architecture and deployment of scalable AI/ML and cloud solutions for our OpenBlue Engineering, Data, and Analytics team.
You'll lead the design of modular, repeatable platforms and ensure seamless collaboration between engineers, scientists, and product teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Define and execute the OpenBlue AI solutions architecture roadmap.

Translate business needs into scalable analytics solutions.
-
Lead POCs for emerging technologies and collaborate on enterprise-wide innovation.

Take AI models to production: architect MLOps frameworks for model training, deployment, and monitoring.

Govern the AI models lifecycle from data supply to discovery, modeling, AI model training and development to deployment in the cloud or at the edge.

Create and streamline workflows for solutions that need to operate on a large scale. This includes branching methodologies, CI/CD, automated testing and model monitoring and updates.

Mentor engineering teams in best practices for AI incl. LLMs and cloud solutions.

Develop secure, API-first microservices using Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure Cloud services.
Qualifications:
Required:
-
Bachelor’s in CS, Engineering, or related field.
-
7+ years in technical solution architecture, incl. containerized deployements in cloud environments and API-first design
-
3+ years in cloud and IoT solutions.

Strong Python, NodeJS, and SQL experience.
-
Hands-on experience with DevOps (Git and complex deployment pipelines)
-
Understanding of AI technologies with experience in using Pytorch, TensorFlow, etc.

Expertise in MLOps strategies, cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Databricks, MLFlow), and conversational AI tools (e.g., OpenAI, Azure Bot Framework).

Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and event-driven architecture.
Preferred:
-
10+ years of industry experience, including Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, and Power BI.

Experience working on developing LLMops for GenAI solutions
-
Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure AI Engineer Associate or similar.
