ron Mountain is seeking a highly experienced, motivated Principal Solution Architect - Warehouse & Technology to join our Warehouse & Logistics Technology team.
In this role, you will be responsible for serving as the technical authority for our warehouse and logistics technology ecosystem, defining and governing architecture standards, and owning the future-state warehouse technology roadmaps.
The Warehouse & Logistics Technology team bridges enterprise IT and operational environments, ensuring our global supply chain platforms, infrastructure, automation systems, and integrations are secure, resilient, and aligned with long-term business objectives.
What You’ll Do In this role, you will:
Architecture Governance & Strategy: Define architecture principles, reference architectures, and future-state technology roadmaps while serving as the highest-level escalation point and technical approval authority for major initiatives.
Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Leadership: Provide enterprise architecture direction across Manhattan Scale, SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and future Warehouse Management Systems, aligning business processes with end-to-end operational workflows.
Enterprise Integration Architecture: Own design and governance standards for real-time and batch system integrations—including Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Event-Driven Architectures, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI/B2B)—ensuring absolute visibility of data flows across critical systems.
Infrastructure, Automation & Operational Technology (OT): Govern warehouse infrastructure environments (including enterprise Wi-Fi, edge computing, and device management) and partner with automation vendors to securely integrate Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS).
Security, Observability & Resiliency: Partner with security teams to enforce Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust principles, while establishing operational standards for monitoring, disaster recovery, and peak-season business continuity.
What You’ll Bring The ideal candidate will have:
15+ years of overall technology experience, with 7+ years specifically in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Principal Architect roles.
Deep experience supporting warehouse technology ecosystems and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain execution processes.
Proven expertise with Manhattan Scale, SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), or equivalent enterprise Warehouse Management Systems.
Advanced knowledge of enterprise integration architecture, cloud-native environments (such as Google Cloud Platform), and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems (including ANSI X12, EDIFACT, AS2, Secure File Transfer Protocol [SFTP], and Value-Added Network [VAN] providers).
Strong infrastructure, networking, and security architecture expertise supporting mission-critical, high-volume operational environments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (The Open Group Architecture Framework [TOGAF], Google Cloud, or Security architecture certifications are highly preferred).
