MetLife's Intelligent Automation (IA) team's mission is to leverage automation and artificial intelligence to drive digital transformation within MetLife globally. We leverage best-in-class technologies such as Robotic Process Automation, Conversational AI, Intelligent Document Processing, Workflow and others, to solve business problems, drive efficiencies, improve accuracy while reducing risk, and improve customer and employee experience. IA team has had a massive impact in the past years in US, LatAM, EMEA and Asia, where we have established CoEs, and delivered and supported automation of thousands of processes, that has resulted in tens of millions of dollars in savings and improved experience.
As part of our continued focus on driving efficiencies related to platforms and developer productivity, we are looking for an experienced to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with the mission to research, develop, and implement responsible use of AI to provide superior customer service and create operational and market differentiating capabilities to further establish MetLife as a global industry leader in the Insurance and Financial Services industry.
The will utilize deep learning, neuro-linguistic programming, computer vision, chatbots, prompt engineering, and retrieval augmented generation to help us improve various business outcomes and drive innovation.

  • Manage and direct processes and R&D (research and development) to meet the needs of our AI strategy
  • Understand company and customer challenges and how integrating AI capabilities can help lead to solutions
  • Lead cross-functional teams in identifying and prioritizing key areas of business where AI solutions can drive significant business benefit
  • Analyze and explain AI and machine learning (ML) solutions while setting and maintaining high ethical standards



  • Advise executives and business leaders on a broad range of technology, strategy, and policy issues associated with AI
  • Work on functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures, in collaboration with an advanced engineering team, internal partners, and executive leadership
  • Articulate and document the solutions architecture and lessons learned for each exploration and accelerated incubation
  • Stay abreast of advancements in the AI and automation market and competitor landscape
  • Research, develop, and test various language models against internal benchmarks to identify the most optimal model for the given use case
  • Architecture: Design and develop scalable and efficient AI architectures that leverage state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms, deep learning models, and data processing techniques to solve complex business problems.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the IT software development teams. Drive the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and design principles to ensure high-quality and maintainable AI solutions.
  • Solution Design: Translate business requirements into technical specifications and design AI solutions that align with the organization's overall technical vision and strategic objectives
  • Scope, design, and development of low code applications and automation using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate individually and with 3rd Party partners.



  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in full stack engineering, especially in cloud environments, in a large enterprise
  • 5+ years of Experience with cloud service providers such as Azure (mandatory), AWS & GCP (preferred)
  • Expertise with the DevSecOps processes and driving improvements to Developer Experience
  • Two or more years of experience in applying AI to practical and comprehensive technology solutions
  • Deep understanding of machine learning and AI technologies, including the ability to design, train, and implement machine learning models and use natural language processing techniques for automation.
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks, and AI development libraries.
  • Strong experience developing Power Automate, and Power apps and other low-code no-code solutions
  • Knowledge of generative AI platforms and potential applications, specifically experience with Microsoft Azure OpenAI
  • Experience with ML, deep learning, TensorFlow, Python, NLP
  • Knowledge of basic algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles, and best-practice patterns
  • Experience in REST API development, NoSQL database design, and RDBMS design and optimizations with a strong background in software development, data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence


The salary range for applicants for this position is 140,000-180,000.
