The opportunity

As a Primary Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will play a crucial role in the electro-mechanical design of high-voltage substations across Norway. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with customers and both internal and external partners, working within project teams to implement innovative solutions.

How you'll make an impact

• Conduct the electromechanical design of high-voltage switchgear and substations.

• Develop substation models in 3D Revit, ensuring adherence to technical drawing standards while incorporating customer requirements and local regulations.

• Collaborate with the project team using the BIM environment, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).

• Perform calculations related to electromechanical short-circuit forces, earthing calculations, and cable route design guided by specifications and industry standards, with support from specialized applications.

• Develop design solutions that consider a diverse range of customer requirements, as well as economic and normative factors.

• Follow up on and clarify details related to components, supplies, services, civil works, and control systems.

• Determine quantities and dimensions of materials needed for equipment procurement.

• Participate in on-site visits across Norway and factory visits throughout Europe.

Your background

• Higher education in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• Fluent in English and Norwegian, both spoken and written.
