SUMMARY

GCM Grosvenor is seeking an Analyst for its Private Equity Investment Team, focusing on primary fund investments. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of private equity fund investments, including due diligence, transaction execution and investment monitoring.


RESPONSIBILITIES   

  • Assist with preparation and presentation of investment recommendations and diligence findings to internal committees, including memo writing and track record analysis.
  • Conduct industry research to support investment evaluation process.
  • Meet with investment managers and assess new investment opportunities.
  • Support client relationship efforts, including ongoing portfolio management and reporting.
  • Aid in fundraising efforts for private equity separate account mandates and commingled funds.
  • Represent GCM Grosvenor at industry events / conferences.
  • Support pipeline and business data management projects, as necessary.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

The ideal experience and critical competencies for the role include the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related degree with superior academic performance.
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in private equity, asset management, investment banking or investment related role.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as an understanding of company evaluation.
  • High attention to detail and concern for quality and accuracy of the final product.
  • Strong communication skills, including articulating thoughts clearly and concisely to both clients and staff through written correspondence, presentations and/or meetings.
  • Superior organization, decision making and problem-solving skills with the demonstrated initiative and ability to manage tasks and projects independently from start to finish.
  • Exhibited interest in and knowledge of the investment industry, particularly the alternative investment industry.
  • Shown team player with experience training and mentoring junior professionals.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work and multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Knowledge of using financial databases (Capital IQ, Preqin, Burgiss, DealCloud) helpful, but not required.
  • Highest ethical standards and integrity.

Actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual's experience, skills, and qualifications for the role.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on factors such as individual, team, and company performance as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
