We are seeking a Specialty Software Engineering Senior Manager for development work in our FX technology team in Capital Markets. The candidate will be actively engaged in architecture, design, development of a high-performance framework for back-office applications and be a key leader in a highly talented delivery team for trading development. Candidates should have minimum of 5 yrs of experience in FX technology dept. Direct experience of FX Cash and Derivative Products, understanding of pricing, trade life cycle, associated market data. Expertise in building large scale trading application & system of record is huge plus.
This individual will be a senior systems engineer and technical expert in the development of very highly sophisticated and complex trading applications for a major functional area within the FX businesses. They will analyze highly complex business requirements. Write functional documents and design technical specifications. Design and/or redesign existing complex computer platforms and applications.
In this role, you will:
- Lead an agile engineering team of highly skilled technologists supporting solutions and development across multiple FX products or capability domains.
- Partner with business product managers, lead systems and senior engineers to develop functional and technical strategy for the domain(s), including development of actionable short and long-term product roadmaps and shaping prioritized features.
- Oversee engineering teams to deliver commitments aligned to strategic product priorities.
- Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of senior engineers and assists in hiring top engineering talent.
- Collaborate within and across agile teams to design, test, implement, and support technical solutions in
- Full-stack development tools and methodologies.
- Ensure the craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers.
- Support implementation of solutions spanning multiple teams for multiple product or capability domains.
- Partners with product managers to drive business outcomes.
- Ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met.
- Ensures that key areas of technology risk including security, stability, and scalability are addressed in products and capabilities within the domain(s).
- Interface with third party vendors and technology service providers.
- Responsible for defining opportunities across IT to maximize assets and improve processes while reducing cost. Ensures that system improvements are monitored to increase efficiency. Mentor and train other members of the team.

- 6+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of Java experience
- 5+ years of Capital Markets experience
- 5+ years of Relational Database experience
- 3+ years of Low Latency systems development or implementation experience
- 3+ years of multicast messaging framework development experience
- 5+ years of multi-threading and distributed caching experience
- 3+ years of Agile experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of FX Products including Spot, Forwards, NDFs and Swaps for pricing construction and risk management
- Knowledge of various Swift MT/MX message formats in use for FX Cash/Options products
- Strong knowledge of JDK 11+ programming paradigms
- Strong knowledge of UNIX/LINUX
- Experience leading large, complex curricula projects requiring advanced development approaches
- Strong knowledge of core computer science design concepts, algorithms, and data structures
- Experience in low latency/real-time development and optimization
- Low-latency JAVA experience (GC tuning, etc.)
- Working knowledge with tools required for regression test automation
- Advanced experience in capital markets business and processes

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$185,000.00 - $300,000.00
