Citi's Investor Services Technology group is seeking a strategic and technically accomplished Services Pricing Studio Technology Lead the design and delivery of a transformational pricing platform that powers how Citi prices, structures, and wins Investor Services mandates globally.
The Pricing Studio will serve as the definitive tool for Sales, Product, and Finance teams — enabling dynamic fee modelling, scenario analysis, competitive benchmarking, and deal approval workflows. You will lead a focused engineering team and work in close partnership with Investor Services business leadership, Finance, and Data teams to build a platform that directly influences Citi's revenue growth and competitive positioning.
This role demands a rare combination of pricing domain expertise, data engineering depth, AI driven engineering acceleration and the ability to translate complex commercial logic into elegant, scalable software.
Responsibilities:
Pricing Studio Platform
Design and deliver the Pricing Studio as a unified, self-service platform for fee modelling, deal structuring, and pricing approval — supporting all Investor Services products including Fund Admin, Custody, and Securities Finance.
Dynamic Pricing Engine
Architect a configurable, rules-driven pricing engine capable of modelling complex fee structures, volume discounts, bundled pricing, and multi-product deal economics — with real-time scenario comparison and profitability analysis.
Deal Approval Workflow
Implement structured deal approval and governance workflows — integrating pricing decisions with Finance sign-off, risk thresholds, and regulatory guardrails to ensure every deal is commercially sound and compliant.
Stakeholder Partnership
Act as the primary technology partner for Sales, Product, Finance, and senior business leadership — translating commercial pricing requirements into platform capabilities and ensuring the Studio drives measurable revenue impact.
AI-Powered Pricing
Embed ML-driven pricing recommendations, demand forecasting, and churn risk signals into the Studio — enabling proactive, data-driven pricing decisions that optimize both client retention and revenue growth.
Risk Assessment: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Experience:
10+ years in technology leadership, with significant experience in pricing, revenue management, or financial analytics platforms
5+ years leading engineering teams building commercial or pricing tools in financial services
Demonstrated success delivering self-service analytics or decision-support platforms for business users
Technical:
Hands-on expertise in application engineering, proficiency in Java, AI tools driven Development.
Experience building UI/UX, Data intensive, configurable rules engines and workflow orchestration systems
Core technologies: Java Springboot, React, Kafka, CI/CD, Oracle
Leadership:
Ability to partner effectively with Sales, Finance, and Product leadership on commercially sensitive initiatives
Strong analytical mindset — comfortable working with pricing economics, P&L modelling, and revenue metrics
Experience leading small, high-impact engineering teams with a product-oriented delivery culture
Domain:
Understanding of Investor Services fee structures: AUM-based, transaction-based, bundled, and performance fees
Familiarity with RFP/RFI processes and how pricing decisions are made in institutional sales cycles
Knowledge of profitability analysis, cost-to-serve modelling, and revenue attribution in financial services
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Information Technology
