Job Title: Pricing Manager, Monetization

Location: Dallas, TX

Position Summary: 

As a Pricing Manager, you will be responsible for conducting statistical analysis and modeling to support pricing decisions and strategies within our organization. You will play a critical role in developing and executing pricing strategies to maximize profitability and competitiveness in the retail and wholesale markets. Leveraging your expertise in statistical methodologies and data analysis, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop pricing models, optimize pricing structures, and drive revenue and margin growth. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in statistical software, the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights, strategic thinking, and leadership abilities to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives. This role also requires a self-service attitude, meaning a candidate that actively gathers, stores, and structures the raw data necessary to produce the models described.

What you’ll do: 

  1. Pricing Strategy Development: Develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with business objectives, market dynamics, and product positioning to optimize revenue and profitability.
  2. Competitive Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of competitor pricing strategies, markettrends, and consumer behavior to identify pricing opportunities and threats.
  3. Statistical Analysis: Conduct in-depth statistical analysis of pricing data to identify patterns, trends, and relationships that can inform pricing strategies and decisions.
  4. Price Optimization: Utilize pricing optimization techniques and tools to set optimal prices for products and services across different channels and market segments.
  5. Margin Management: Monitor product margins and pricing structures to ensure profitability targets are met while maintaining competitiveness in the market.
  6. Promotional Pricing: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute promotional pricing strategies that drive traffic, sales, and customer acquisition.
  7. Dynamic Pricing: Implement dynamic pricing strategies based on real-time market conditions, demand fluctuations, and competitive landscape to maximize revenue and margins.
  8. Pricing Model Development: Develop and maintain pricing models using advanced statistical techniques such as regression analysis, machine learning, and time series forecasting.
  9. Price Elasticity Analysis: Estimate price elasticity and demand curves to understand the sensitivity of consumer demand to changes in pricing and inform pricing optimization efforts.
  10. Segmentation Analysis: Segment customers, products, and markets based on relevant characteristics and conduct pricing analysis tailored to each segment to maximize profitability and competitiveness.
  11. Competitive Pricing Analysis: Analyze competitor pricing strategies and market dynamics to benchmark prices, identify pricing gaps, and develop strategies to maintain competitiveness.
  12. Promotional Pricing Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional pricing strategies and campaigns through statistical analysis of sales data, pricing metrics, and customer response.
  13. Data Visualization: Present findings and insights from statistical analysis through clear and compelling data visualizations, reports, and presentations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  14. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with pricing managers, marketing teams, sales teams, and other stakeholders to align pricing strategies with business goals and initiatives.
  15. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest developments in statistical methods, pricing analytics, and industry best practices to improve pricing capabilities and methodologies continuously.
  16. Reporting and KPIs: You will be responsible for executive-level reporting of program performance and monitoring and measuring our key performance indicators.
  17. Market Pricing: Gather and evaluate market pricing for multiple product models and product lines. Update catalog pricing on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  18. Oversee Pricing Engine Development: Work with Engineering and subject matter experts to provide requirements for a platform-based pricing engine, which automatically feeds our acquisition and sales channels with up-to-date, competitive pricing.

    What you’ll need: 

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in statistical analysis, modeling, and data analysis, preferably in a pricing or revenue management context.
    • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to manipulate large datasets and derive actionable insights.
    • Familiarity with pricing concepts, methodologies, and strategies.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex statistical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and interpretation.
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proven experience in retail pricing strategy, pricing analysis, or revenue management, preferably in a retail or consumer goods industry.
