The role

SoFi is seeking a senior pricing leader to own and shape the end to end pricing strategy for our $30B+ Personal Loan portfolio, one of the fastest-growing businesses in fintech.

This role will report to the Head of Pricing & Profitability and will manage a team of data scientists with responsibility for personal loan pricing. 

This role sits at the center of growth, profitability, risk, and capital strategy. You will define how pricing drives revenue expansion, customer acquisition, risk adjusted returns, and long term portfolio performance, while operating within regulatory and capital constraints.

This is a high visibility, high impact role with direct influence on SoFi’s revenue trajectory and competitive positioning.

What you’ll do:

Portfolio Level Pricing Strategy

Accountability for the pricing driven portfolio performance, revenue growth and risk adjusted returns
Own the pricing roadmap for the Personal Loans business, balancing growth, credit performance, capital efficiency, and compliance.
Develop mid and long term pricing strategy aligned with business objectives and market conditions.
Drive revenue growth, profitability, and portfolio optimization through disciplined experimentation and analytical rigor.
Partner with Risk and Capital Markets to optimize risk-return tradeoffs and portfolio yield.
Direct pricing experimentation and A/B testing strategy across segments.
Establish frameworks to measure volume, conversion, Weighted Average Coupon, Return on Assets, Life Time Value, cost of acquisition, and other key pricing KPIs.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as the senior pricing voice in executive discussions, pricing committees, and product launches.
  • Influence Product, Risk, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering stakeholders on pricing decisions.
  • Navigate complex trade-offs between growth, compliance, operational feasibility, and capital impact.
  • Represent Pricing in major technology and platform initiatives.
Team Leadership & Organizational Impact
  • Lead and develop a team of data scientists and analysts.
  • Set high standards for analytical rigor, governance, and execution discipline.
  • Own prioritization and resource allocation decisions across pricing initiatives.
  • Coach and develop future pricing leaders within the organization.

What you’ll need:

Experience
  • 12+ years of experience in consumer lending, fintech, payments, or financial services.
  • 7+ years in pricing, strategy, analytics, or risk-related leadership roles.
  • 5+ years leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Deep understanding of consumer credit risk, portfolio performance, and pricing levers.
Technical & Analytical Depth
  • M.B.A, B.S. or M.S. in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related quantitative field is required for this position;
  • Knowledge and understanding of statistical modeling methods used in price optimization.;
  • Experience and knowledge of data processing softwares and languages - examples include Python, PySpark, R, SQL, SAS
  • Experience working with large-scale portfolio data and building decision frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Tableau and other data visualization tools is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of revenue drivers, cost structures, and profitability metrics (ROA, WAC, CAC, etc.)
Leadership & Executive Presence
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment in ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to translate complex analytics into clear business narratives and actionable proposals.
  • Experience operating in regulated environments with awareness of fair lending and compliance considerations.
  • Strong commercial judgment and a founder mindset toward ownership and impact.

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience working in the digital lending space is preferred
  • Prior experience in pricing analytics and modeling is preferred.

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
