What you'll be doing:
We're looking for a student who is currently part-way through a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or a related field and is looking for a year long placement as part of their studies for a year in industry.
During your time with us, you'll gain hands-on experience in a high impact, data-driven environment. You'll build statistical models to help predict customer and market behaviour, supporting the team in reviewing the performance of existing pricing models and identifying opportunities for improvement. Your work will directly contribute to the team's commercial and customer-focused goals, shaping strategic outcomes and supporting the delivery of pricing and underwriting tasks that create real impact.
Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you'll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office
What you'll need:
Currently Studying a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or a related field
A background in Statistics/mathematics
An understanding of Generalised Linear Models and their alternatives
Experience in SQL and Python preferred
A high level of attention-to-detail, alongside a curious and inquisitive mindset
