Job Summary
As a member of the Finance, Analytics and Commercial team, the Pricing Analyst will be key in developing and executing pricing strategies across Plenti’s core products.
This role will help optimise business profitability by leveraging data and financial analysis to develop strategies that drive improved volume and margin outcomes for Plenti.
Description of role
The pricing analyst produces insightful analysis and ongoing reporting to support strategic pricing decisions. This role is suited to an individual with strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving capabilities who can evaluate and analyse a broad range of information and effectively communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Helping drive the development, execution and performance monitoring of pricing strategies and initiatives, partnering with sales leaders across the business to optimise business profitability.
• Continuously developing and refining financial reporting, ensuring data-driven insights for strategic decision-making at executive and senior leadership teams.
• Producing impactful business performance reports and analyses for key stakeholders, including the Board and Executive teams, offering strategic insights on market and business trends.
• Developing and maintaining pricing analysis across large datasets using advanced analytics tools to inform business decisions.
• Championing the development and continuous improvement of sophisticated analytical models, leveraging statistical and database tools to deepen market understanding and enhance business decision-making processes.
• Fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through rigorous hypothesis testing and experimentation, driving pricing optimisation and strategic initiatives.
Key Qualifications
The role is suited to a person who has a strong work ethic with a statistics, finance, economics or STEM degree and now wants to continue to build these skills and their business insight capabilities in a growing company with a dynamic business environment. Attributes that will make you right for the role include:
• Intellectual agility, quick learning ability, and a commitment to take ownership of delivering consistently high-quality work, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial analytics role, preference given to pricing and commercial analysis experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and communication skills.
• Solid foundation in financial modeling and a robust analytical skillset.
• Proficient in SQL, with the ability to manipulate and analyse large datasets, translating data into actionable business insights.
• Self-motivated, thrives in fast-paced settings, embraces challenges, and is capable of managing multiple priorities.
