About The Role
The Pricing Analyst serves as a critical finance business partner to the Commercial Sales team, delivering strategic insights, robust financial analysis, and commercially focused recommendations that drive profitable growth and optimise business performance.
This role is instrumental in designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing pricing frameworks, profitability models, reporting capabilities, and governance processes that empower data-driven commercial decision-making.
By partnering closely with Sales, Finance, and Product Line stakeholders, the Pricing Analyst plays a pivotal role in maximising pricing effectiveness, improving margin outcomes, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting key strategic initiatives that contribute to the organisation's long-term success.
What You’ll Do
Commercial Business Partnering
Act as the primary finance business partner to the Commercial Sales team.
Provide pricing and profitability analysis to support customer negotiations, tenders and commercial opportunities.
Challenge assumptions and provide recommendations that balance growth objectives with sustainable profitability.
Build trusted relationships across Sales, Finance and Product Line.
Pricing Strategy and Analysis
Analyse customer, product and channel profitability to identify opportunities for margin improvement.
Assess customer purchasing behaviours and market dynamics to support pricing strategies.
Identify pricing risks, margin leakage and commercial opportunities through data analysis.
Support the development and enhancement of pricing models, tools and reporting capabilities.
Tendering and Quotation Governance
Partner with the Commercial Sales team to improve tender and quotation processes.
Conduct pre- and post-tender analysis to evaluate financial outcomes and identify improvement opportunities.
Ensure pricing recommendations are supported by robust financial analysis and consistent pricing methodology.
Assist in the development of pricing governance frameworks and approval processes.
Systems, Reporting and Continuous Improvement
Leverage SAP, C4C and associated systems to improve pricing processes and data integrity.
Develop and maintain reporting on pricing performance, customer profitability and margin trends.
Identify and implement process improvements that reduce manual effort and improve decision quality.
Support pricing automation, standardisation and transformation initiatives.

Experience & Key Capabilities
More than 5 years of experience in pricing, commercial finance, sales finance or business partnering environments.
Experience in tender evaluation, commercial quotation processes and volume pricing frameworks
Experience supporting B2B sales teams, contract customers and large-scale commercial opportunities
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of profitability drivers.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to translate complex data into practical business recommendations.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to influence decisions through data-driven insights.
Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process efficiency and simplification.
Qualifications & Technical Skills:
Degree qualified in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
Advanced Excel skills, including complex financial modelling, data analysis and reporting.
Experience with VBA/Macros and Power Query will be highly regarded.
Experience using data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI is advantageous.
