The Specialty Pricing team is home to a wide array of business segments at GEICO, including commercial, powersports, recreational vehicle, boat, and personal umbrella. Analyst duties consist of determining and implementing rates for insurance products, analyzing and projecting drivers of loss trends, developing and enhancing new insurance products, and much more! Our Analysts are motivated, self-driven, and excellent analytical thinkers. As a Pricing Analyst, you can expect to work closely with our partners in Product Management and Actuarial Reserving. Your active participation in profitability analysis will drive business decision-making, ensuring company and line of business success.
Actuarial designation pursuit is not required, but candidates pursuing an actuarial designation will be supported.
How You’ll Make a Difference
Analytical Pricing Work:
Develop and prepare statistical analyses of underwriting or claims experience, which serve as the basis of ratemaking or management information reports
Conduct rate reviews, create filings, and implement rate changes for a variety of segments of our business
Stakeholder Partnership:
Develop and present analysis and proposals to various stakeholder groups
Develop relationships with product management and learn business strategy
Process Improvement:
Develop and improve tools to streamline processes and drive improvements in analytics

What We’re Looking For
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Math, Actuarial Science, Econ, Statistics, Data/Business Analytics, or other relevant quantitative field of study OR Bachelor’s degree in any field of study plus prior experience / internship with quantitative analytics; degree obtained by May 2027
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (please upload ALL transcripts as part of the application process)
Must live within commutable distance from our Bethesda, MD office and work a hybrid schedule
Core Skills:
Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Highly effective communication and collaboration skills
Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
Basic to intermediate proficiency with data analysis software like R, SAS, Python, or Power BI
Ability to work independently and build ownership over projects

Annual Salary
$58,425.00 - $91,225.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
