Job Responsibilities:
The Press Supervisor is responsible for all team members' safety, overall development and supervision of Team Leaders and Press Team Members, health and safety, quality, customer cost, productivity, and ergonomic issues through using the company policies and procedures and the Magna Employee's Charter as a guideline. The Press Supervisor must audit daily to be sure the team is following the processes and work instructions to be successful as well as facilitating the training needed to perform a particular role effectively.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:
Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies. Ensure all Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to by all Team Members. Understand and promote Magna's philosophies (Magna Operational Principles, Corporate Constitution and Employee's Charter). Ensure daily pre-shift inspections are completed, conduct unplanned inspection audits on a weekly basis and planned inspection audits once a month Routinely make visual inspections of emergency evacuations routes correcting any safety concerns immediately Within 24 hours of an accident/incident complete accident investigations identifying root cause and corrective action Ensure weekly safety talks in pre-shift meetings are being conducted with team members signing safety training roster Provides instruction, guidance and leadership to employees by assisting in solving day to day problems, utilizing the Magna Employee Charter while implementing the policies and procedures of the company. Must be able to operate and maintain all machinery and equipment in his/her assigned area of responsibility. Utilize interactive management principles when implementing corrective discipline procedures in dealing with team members, encourage professional development to enhance team performance, and cross train to maximize flexibility and coverage to accommodate vacations and absences. Provide timely coaching, counseling, and feedback to Team Leaders through one-on-one sessions, performance evaluations, and regular team meetings to ensure fulfillment of policies, practices, and procedures. Plans and directs the utilization, maintenance and use of all machinery, equipment and manpower to achieve the most effective results. Be responsible and accountable for meeting KAMTEK and departmental objectives. Utilize interactive management principles when implementing progressive discipline procedures in dealing with unsatisfactory employees. Responsible for maintaining, repairing and completing Engineering changes to all tooling when possible, in house or coordinate all tooling work to be done outside of KAMTEK. Responsible to address and solve all customer related problems and concerns, both internal and external. Supervises an average of 5 - 30 employees in accordance with the principles of the Employee Charter and the policies and procedures set out in the KAMTEK Handbook and Supervisor's Manual. Act on behalf of the Shift Manager during absences and assume the full role of Team Leader in their absence. Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the safety policies of KAMTEK, Inc. Promotes good housekeeping (5S). Perform other duties as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Some of the physical demands for this position include the ability to lift 40 pounds, standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time, and occasional bending and stooping.

Some of the equipment and tools used are a computer, printer/copier, telephone, 2-way radio, fax machine and handheld tools
KNOWLEDGE
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required; 2-years degree from accredited technical college preferred, or equivalent experience.
